Integrity and Honesty at Hull City

Hull City's chairman has managed to make almost as mystifying choice of new manager as Burnley's did a few weeks ago ..... !!

I had to smile at this quote from Hull City chairman Adam Pearson

Chairman Adam Pearson, described his new recruit as someone with "great passion, integrity, honesty and up for the challenge", said he hoped Dowie's deal could be extended at the end of the season.

"Integrity and Honesty" are in the cliched world of Footballing soundbites, perhaps not quite the correct couple to associate with Iain Dowie !! - "Handsome and Good Looking" would even have been more accurate !!

This is the man who left Oldham because he wanted more money from a club already in financial difficulties - and then was successfully sued by Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan, for lying about the reasons he left Crystal Palace - Dowie quoted the reason he wanted to leave (IIRC) being family issues and then eight days later he turns up down the road as Manager of QPR !!

Hardly, Integrity and Honesty personified ??

Phil Brown takes Hull to the Premiership, survives, and then is in the midst of another battle, once again fighting above their weight.

And then...

I know, let's sack Brown, and bring in Dowie - that's a good idea!!
(Mourinho, I might understand, but Dowie...)
