Hi Stud, welcome to Las Vegas

Played in the Inside Poker HORSE Classic Freeroll, on Full Tilt yesterday evening - it was the 7-Card Stud Flavoured Leg yesterday - the winner got a $4500 Package to a 7 Card Stud Event at the WSOP, and all the final table go to another Live Playoff in London, with the Prize for that being a Buy-In to the WSOP Main Event.

I had only played Stud about 3 times previously, and didn't really have much clue as to the best starting hands, or tactics to use, so after a brisk read of the 'How to Play' article in the magazine, I sat down with 180+ players and looked forward to an hour or so entertainment, before I busted out.

3 1/2 hours later I'm on the final table about 3rd of 8 !! - but have subsequently found out that I won't be able to make the Live Playoff Final, as I'll be away on Family Holiday, so I've played 200 + minutes and unless I win the event I'm going to have nothing to show for it.

1/2 hour later I'm Heads Up with a huge Chip Lead and showing down 2pair 8's and 2's, my opponent shows .............. Ace High

I about dropped of my chair, and swore excessively ..... I still don't think its quite sunk in now.

After contacting Alun at InsidePoker this morning, it looks as though I'm going to be playing in -
